Workshop #6 “Smart sustainable and inclusive tourism destination”

As a component of our educational initiative within DURA known as the “Startup Academy,” which brings together aspiring entrepreneurs and those with entrepreneurial ambitions, we hosted a lecture with the theme: “Smart, Sustainable, and Inclusive Tourist Destinations.”

This lecture was part of a larger workshop where entrepreneurs were introduced to a public grant opportunity offered by the Ministry of Economy to support the digitalization of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Stjepan Ćavar, a colleague from Dura and the head of the Smart City department, presented City of Dubrovnik Smart City Strategy to the attendees. He also shared insights into the tools utilized in Dubrovnik to enhance crowd management, particularly during the busy summer months. These tools included the Dubrovnik Visitors system and a system designed to predict visitor numbers in the historic city center.
