Problem Description

Travel Operators and Hotels mainly are exchanging high transactional volumes of B2B invoices and payments. Bavel, our ebilling solution, has been massively adopted for the industry in Europe as the standard way to exchange B2B electronic invoices; which has contributed to reduce drastically backoffice costs for Travel Operators and reduce the average time of being paid for hoteliers. There’s still a lot of work to be done in that space now that Europe is moving ahead with their different electronic billing regulations. On the other side, B2B payments are growing in complexity and it creates big inefficiencies on both Travel Operators and hoteliers as well as the lack of a proper payment channel distribution constraints the entrance of new payment forms and added value services. The Bavel Payment Manager has been developed following HEDNA’s guidelines and it is pivotal to solve the above-mentioned problem: the Bavel Payment Manager (BPM) is providing technical transparency to all parties in the ecosystem: Travel Operators (payer), hoteliers (payee) and PSP (Payment Service Suppliers). The deployment of the BPM is enabling the introduction of new payment forms that results in a frictionless and cost-effective solution for hoteliers, activate added value services such as BillBack for Corporate Travelers, Foreign Exchange solutions for global operations, etc.

Solution Description

Yes. The Bavel Payment Manager has been endorsed already by some of the key agents in the industry: HEDNA, Mastercard, Amadeus, Hotelbeds, Webbeds and many other travel operators and hotels.
