The call for tourism SMEs to participate in the Tourism4.0 project is closed. Applications were possible until February 1st at 17:00 and we received about 1600 applications from Croatia, Italy, Malta, Portugal and Spain.
The aim of the project is capacity development, support and assistance program to enable SMEs to adopt and exploit new digital technologies, in order to improve their productivity, sustainability and overall business performance.
The Evaluation Committee that is composed of 1 evaluator from each of the six countries coordinated by Mr. Joan Puatè, Manager at Cluster Digital de Catalunya selected 60 companies distributed as follows, 16 in Portugal, 13 in Italy, 11 in Spain, 11 in Malta, 10 in Croatia. Of these SMEs, 32 are hotels and similar accommodation facilities, 19 TVA and TO and 9 other categories.
During the 9 months that the program lasts, each selected SME will recieve a mentor who will provide expert knowledge in the specific area of focus of the initiative, working with SME offering tailor-made coaching, training, and skill development to elevate the team capabilities. The selected SMEs will get the most knowledge through online webinars, workshops, pill of knowledge and infographics where they have opportunity to participate and listen to the experiences of experts in the filed of tourism.
